As a child, I was afraid of ghosts yet checked out library books about them and awoke in the middle of the night frightened. I knew spirits of the dead were real even though my mother said otherwise.
Now, I find It is an honor to connect with people’s ancestors—the ghosts of their family lineage. It is my work to bridge the spirit and physical worlds and offer healing communication and heartfelt connection with the ancestors. Personally, I have found a deeply sustaining love and support from my ancestors even after my initial resistance to address them and our family dysfunctions.
Presently, I never feel alone.
I have found a way to bring healing to the spirit realms that creates a release and unwinding of patterns and emotional wounds within the lineage. This process creates liberation for them and for us—the granddaughters and grandsons—from the ancient stories, diseases, wounds, and traumas.
Sometimes this healing requires re-visiting the beginning place where the transgression began. Some receive the replenishing energy of their homelands and remember a beautiful sense of belonging. Others may retrieve lost aspects of their soul through this process.
Ancestors engage in this healing process much like we do. Some people feel overcome with the strength of love their ancestor have for them. Ancestors that were troubled find peace and healing.
In addition, I give flower essences to ghosts! And it works. Blood and soul lineages respond to this nature spirit medicine by creating healing shifts within core emotional blocks of the spirit body. These opening travels through the cellular memory and DNA of their descendants and even future children. Opening the lineage blocks creates health, emotional clearing, and energy renewal through time.
Healing clears out the channels of ancestor connection so their loving support and lineage gifts can manifest more easily in our lives. For example, one woman discovered her deep relationship with whales after a session. Another woman was filled with happiness as she returned to her roots and began growing wild oats and raising goats.
I was inspired to offer this type of healing when I was asked by Sue to clear and heal a beautiful point of land along the Columbia River that had been in her family for many years. There was a lot of family discord and problems that she felt needed sorting out including unsettled spirits on the land.
First, I helped the earthbound spirits that were present and willing to move on into the light. As we deepened our communication with the ancestor spirits of the woman’s family, we came across a very troubled grandfather spirit. I offered White Rose and other flower essences and his sadness and heartache passed.
Then I identified a chief spirit. A Native American Chief who had lived on the land made his presence known. The woman told me that an Indian leader was hung as an example to other tribal people to submit to the rule of the time. I felt his sorrow. I shared my love and gratitude and held space to honor his life including acceptance of the pain his spirit still felt as to his fate. I was surprised and inspired to find no bitterness within this great man’s spirit.
I offered him a few drops of a flower essence formula that contained numerous wildflowers from the Columbia River Gorge. On taking the wildflower essence medicine, I saw tears flowing down his spirit face. I felt the peace of his soul grow as he got to experience the joy of the flowers of his homeland one last time. A smile spread across his face in gratitude and then he moved into the light in peace.
