Earth School’s first event—Intro to Land Honoring, Clearing, and Giving Back— was a beautiful event where we honored and attuned to the spirit of land at Lucretia Court in NW Portland, our own lands, and learned how to make offerings, ask permission, and align ourselves for deeper connection with Mother Earth.
Because we were on the 4th floor of the building, a bit removed from nature, I borrowed a rock from the fountain to use as our focal point for our offerings. Three swans grace the fountain at the entry to the building and bring a soothing energy to this downtown location.
I shared practices and teachings, and we charged up the stone in our class. After the class, Astara (my apprentice) placed the stone back in the fountain to spread the energy of our blessings to all the other stones and the water. Here is a video I took of her returning the stone. Pay close attention to the energy—you may feel a rush of energy as she places it back in the water. We did. New, fresh energy now courses through the stones, waters, and will nourish the land and the inhabitants of the building.
It was a beautiful experience to work with this stone from Lucretia Court and give back to the land in this way. The energy of the land was re-invigorated by our group today. The elementals and spirits of land were very grateful to connect and be seen, heard, achkowledged, and honored. And, we received back the blessings and teachings they offered. True magic fills my heart.
