These are my writings on the process of co-creating magical gardens with the nature spirits and elementals.
I gathered lots of seeds for our gardens at Prairie Star at a lovely seed-swap event at the Rockford Grange in Hood River Valley. Very special seeds were available from Aera and her magical garden at Rahaine overlooking Mt Hood (W’Yeast). I know Aera from the Fairy & Human Relations Congress days when we attended together to learn, share teachings, food, and magic with our fairy and elemental tribe.
My seeds are contained in a special red velvet pouch. I feel so blessed and excited to have such a rich assortment of seeds and potential opportunities for growing relationships and delight and sharing on the way to flowering and seeding and fruiting.
Each type of seed represents a different spirit and intelligent life form patiently waiting for expression.
I wanted to honor the seeds or babies and give them a special blessing to start their new life in the dirt and womb of the Mother Earth. Gathering with Katie Silva and Heather K. we sang ceremonially to the Elderberry Water Wheel Circle to bless the seeds.
Placing them in the center, we bowed and prayed our intentions for health, happiness, good growth and relations into the seeds. The center of the circle empowered them further with its healing energy that we cultivate here through other ceremony and stones, crystals and shells.
We sang and spoke the words flowing up from our hearts and giggled with delight. The fairies are calling us home.
I will be planting the seeds soon and will be using some ideas from the beautiful Anastasia books. She suggests sucking on seeds, placing saliva in holes, walking barefoot on dirt, touching plants with your bare skin. These actions help the plant learn more about you so they can grow you special food, medicine, and bounty to support the specific spiritual, constitutional, and nutritional needs of your body. Tend your garden as you are tending your soul.
