A sweet little 2-year old girl picked out two flower essence bottles from the bottom of the display shelf at the grocery store. Being a flower essence producer for over 15 years, I was excited to see her happiness at finding her medicine. The little ones are especially sensitive to, and attracted by, the energy vibrations that they need for emotional balance and good health.
Unfortunately, her mother was not happy to see her selections held tightly in her little palm. “Put those back,” she commanded in a stern tone of voice.
I made a line of flower essence formulas for children years back but I realized that many parents were not attuned to this type of energy medicine, even when their children instinctively knew what they needed. Many of us grew up without trusting our own instincts because of strong cultural conditioning to please others or do things acertain way.
One day, I brought my flower essences to the children at the New Visions school in Hood River Valley and taught them about the flower fairy energies that are in each drop of an essence. It only takes a few drops to help your feelings flow like a waterfall. Each child selected a flower essence by looking at photographs of the wildflowers. I placed a few drops in a cup of water and gave it back to them. Then, they drank the flower essence.
I am an empath, so I can feel energy shifts. It was an absolute delight to experience 12 different children shift into greater balance, heart opening, more lightness, and clarity. The energy of each child very gently changed. It was as if a light bulb turned on within each one. One boy in particular was so excited. He told us that he could now “concentrate.”
The energy in the room was distinctively different—balanced, lighter, happier, calmer. I find it so rewarding to recognize how quickly this type of medicine from nature that comes from invisible sources of energy can have such a major impact on a group of children, or adults.
I encourage you to trust your children, listen to them, ask them what they need, and honor their intuition. This is a practice I did with my own son. At 19, one of the most beautiful qualities he holds is his strong and clear inner guidance system. Even if he doesn’t call it his intuition, he knows it keeps him safe, guided, clear in decision-making and aligned with greater joy.
Here is the video I created when I visited New Visions School.
