Celebrating the Spirit of Lily Devas

I am snuggling by the fire at my Bear Lodge preparing for a winter solstice ceremony and reflecting on a path that is leading me further into the mysteries of water, plants, and our beautiful Mother. I feel so grateful. So blessed.

I am reflecting on my life at this most yin, dark, and inward time of year. All the beautiful people and adventures and experiences I can claim as mine have helped me gather my “medicine”— my power as a woman. Every step I took prepared me for my life now and I have to say I am ready to celebrate!

Even when life is bumpy, I am ready to receive it… accept it.

The devic spirits of the watery feminine lilies are calling me to celebrate with them and remember our times together… how I’ve grown and blossomed as a woman and witnessed my sisters and brothers blossoming alongside me.

“In my vision, I saw a Great Pyramid of stone

and from it emerges a giant White Lily.

As it gently blooms, the pyramid crumbled.

—Helene

The devic spirit of the lilies was very persistent with me! It started when I was riding my bike in Mosier about 15 years ago. I heard a voice: “lilies give women permission to be women.” I sat with that truth for some time and began sharing the lily flower essences I began making in 2000.

The wild white lilies on Larch Mt called my to them in the rain—rain that fell like huge, endless tears for the pain and tears of women. They talked to me and told me we are in a Blossoming Revolution—an Evolution Revolution. Power will be kinder, gentler, and softer. They were teaching me and filling me with the yin energy that was greatly missing in our world.

The statuesque, fragrant Mt Hood Lily called me into the dark forest up on the mountain to find them and show women how to take up more space, be Large, and claim and carry their energy field in full expression of who they truly are.“You are glorious.”

The sassy Tiger Lily shouted in my ear: “CREATE” and accompanied me to tribal belly dance classes to get my hips moving and flowing with sensual energy. “Create the life you want! You have the power to do this.”

Bright white compassionate Queen Bead Lilies lit up the night in the deep dark forest and told me they would help women deal with “the sins of the fathers—incest.” Really? Years later I am helping women (and their spirit ancestors) heal incest and abuse in Ancestor Healing Ceremony.

Mother Mary’s chalice-shaped Mariposa Lily (Green-banded) helped one woman rebuild her womb energy matrix after a hysterectomy. Another became pregnant after infertility issues.

Thank you for your profound medicine, Lilies! I celebrate being a woman because of you. I celebrate my daughters, sisters, mothers, and grandmothers. I celebrate the yin in men!  I am reclaiming my body with your help and guidance. I am so grateful for how you help women and men bring healing and peace to all.

As I write this, I receive a text from a man… “I am sorry, please forgive me…” Somehow, this feels like a sign to receive our brothers, fathers, and grandfathers grace. Let women (yin) and men (yang) come together in an embrace of love and inner-marriage, once again.

May the Light of The Mother gather you in the light of her heart and love you always! I offer the spirit of the healing lilies to you.
