Grounding is a way of being fully embodied, now. All my energy is present for life and a beautiful energetic relationship with Mother Earth.
To practice grounding, imagine you have roots in your feet like a huge tree. See your roots growing down from each of your feet reaching and connecting with the very heart of the earth. I was taught by a curandero that the roots that grow from our left foot represent our feminine lineage and the right foot roots represent the masculine ancestor lineage. It is important that they grow deep, strong, and independent of each other.
These roots represent your relationship with life! Feel energy flow from your root chakra and down your legs in streams of energy into the earth. Then, allow the beautiful nourishment of earth energy to flow back up into your body. When you do this exercise, see if you get an intuitive sense, feeling, or vision of how deep your roots extend, how strong they are, and if they need untangling from each other. Focus on what you want to see as your grounding roots and it becomes so.
Being grounded is an honoring of your physical body and the abundance that flows from our sacred Mother Earth. Grounding can bring balance, strength, peace, abundance, and powerful healing. Other ways to ground include walking barefoot, dancing, yoga, martial arts, wearing red, holding rocks and crystals, laying on Mother Earth, and playing in nature.
